What does political freedom mean in Hannah Arendt’s thought? The essays in this volume explore this question through the relationship between action and judgment. They consider a wide range of themes, including natality, the public realm, power, non-sovereignty, migration, trust, and political judgment. Taken together, they show that Arendt’s concept of freedom cannot be reduced to either freedom of the will or individual autonomy.
