Description
In its Biennial Report "Competition 2024" the Monopolies Commission analyses the district heating market and recommends strengthening the existing transparency measures in the short term as well as introducing a market-based price cap. In its concentration analysis, it identifies significant shifts in power within the food supply chains since 2007, but advises against a short-term extension of the legal instruments. In the rail sector, the Commission criticises the merger of infrastructure in the new company ‘DB InfraGO AG’ and the projects planned within the framework of the ‘Infraplan’ as inadequate. It develops an economic test concept for digital ecosystems and analyses data access from a competition policy perspective.
