Householding refers to the practice of shaping one’s life within a real household, as it exists across personal, communal, institutional, and state households, all the way up to the planetary household. Its ecological concept encompasses many reflections on the questions raised by current environmental crises regarding the social, economic, and political organization of our lives and our collective behavior. Guidance on these issues is sought in a series of theorems concerning the eco-social paradigm. Their detailed discussion is the subject of this treatise. Underlying it all is the call for human actors to practice householding in the face of the ecological crisis.
