Description
Already for a long time, Hegel has been acknowledged as one of the most important theoreticians of modernity. However, all consequences from this fact remain yet to be drawn. This book defends the claim that there exists an intimate connection between Hegel’s dialectical method and modernity. In his system, Hegel has united not only metaphysics with logics, but even the theory of modernity with metaphysics. As a consequence, dialectics is able to realise itself fully only in the modern world. Pre-modern forms of dialectics are more or less deficient. By designing his dialectical method, Hegel makes a bold move against concurrent theories of modernity, especially against Kant.
