Description
2027 is the 100th anniversary of the work ‘Being and Time’, which first appeared in Husserl's phenomenological journal and has been translated into all world languages. Nevertheless, the discussion about the philosophical content, life and views of the philosopher continues. The ‘studium generale’ at the University of Freiburg organised a lecture series to commemorate the philosopher's work and his personal environment. The present book is based on this lecture series: I. Römer writes about the respected work. P. Trawny attests to the philosopher's ‘aberrant thinking (paranoetics)’ in the black booklets with their anti-semitic outbursts. H. Zaborowski describes the National Socialist rector. The editor sees hybris and a need for recognition in Heidegger's private life and philosophical endeavours. The controversies will continue for more than 100 years.
