Description
From the late 1920s onward, Martin Heidegger engaged in an intensive and sustained examination of Schelling’s philosophy. This volume investigates his complex engagement with this thinker and elucidates Schelling’s significant influence on the trajectory of Heidegger’s thought. Renowned scholars from, inter alia, Germany, Spain, Italy, Latin America, Japan, and Australia devote particular attention to the lectures Heidegger delivered on Schelling’s “Treatise on the Essence of Human Freedom.” The studies of Heidegger’s readings of Schelling are complemented by a second major focus dedicated to his “Natorp Report.”
