Details
Volume III.2 contains the second part of Recensio.

This volume is devoted to all the Ancient and Medieval reports that have come down to us on Heraclitus' placita, i. e. on the doctrines and views held by, or attributed to, him (except direct quotations from his book).
It displays over two hundred doxographical items many of which are based on a number of passages (from two to ten or more).

All the items are presented in a systematical order founded on the doxographic tradition and on their actual content : physics, cosmogony, cosmology, astronomy and meteorology; psychology, eschatology and epistemology ; metaphysics, henology, theology and flux theory ; dubia et spuria.. The commentary discusses the meaning, accuracy and consistency of each report as well as their mutual coherence. There are an Index fontium, an Index rerum memorabilium and Concordance tables
This book complements vols. III.1 (Memoria) and III.3.B/i-iii (Fragmenta) published earlier (2003 and 2006) and winds up the edition of all the most relevant Ancient texts related to Heraclitus and his lost treatise.
