This work offers a comprehensive and legally sound overall concept for internal investigations under German law. Using numerous practical examples, the author answers questions such as the admissibility of internal investigations and the obligation to conduct them. Finally, he shows what may or must be done with the results of an investigation, in particular with regard to their disclosure, seizure and criminal procedural usability.
This dissertation was awarded the WisteV-PhD Prize and the PhD prize of the Leipziger AnwaltVerein.

Es darf auf keinen Fall in einer auf Compliance, Gesellschaft- oder Arbeitsrecht spezialisierten Bibliothek fehlen. Der wissenschaftliche Apparat ist beeindruckend und verweist auf nahezu auf sämtliche Judikate, welche zum Themenkomplex der Internal Investigation entschieden wurden. Gleiches gilt für die recherchierte und für die Dissertation destillierte Literatur. Hier fehlt es an nichts... exzellent.«
