This collection analyses the global migration of international health professionals and its impact on the healthcare industry, particularly in the context of demographic change, skills shortages, the coronavirus pandemic and policy frameworks. It examines the benefits to receiving countries and the brain drain in countries of origin, with a focus on third countries; considers policies, international agreements and the role of health institutions and recruitment agencies; and looks at the personal experiences of international health workers.
