Description
While investigative reporting used to be the domain of individuals or small teams, investigations such as the 'Panama Papers' point to an entirely new approach in the way journalists work. Thomas Eckerl’s dissertation examines the phenomenon of investigative, collaborative, cross-border journalism from various perspectives and seeks to create as comprehensive a picture as possible. Through three global sub-studies, this work offers new approaches to the subject area and examines both the organizational and individual levels, as well as implications for journalism education. The findings are further supplemented by a media economics perspective.
