Iranistik

This textbook provides a coherent and practical overview of the diversity of Iranian Studies as a transdisciplinary and transregional field of study, introduces subject areas, methods and questions, and provides practical assistance with basic literature and resources. It also analyses the position of the discipline within the wide spectrum of Orientalist disciplines at German universities and at the same time locates Iranian and Iran-related studies within a global understanding of regional studies. The book is aimed at students, experts and all others interested in Iran and research into it.
