Islamische Religionspädagogik

This book provides an introduction to the system of Islam, its related sciences and the social realities of pedagogical work. It sees itself as a contribution to the development of academic subject profiles, to the professionalisation of teaching and to the emancipation of Muslim self-interpretation. Based on this independence, it enables dialogue with other denominational concepts, for example on questions of institution, normativity and the construction of meaning. It combines empirical modelling, its author’s teaching experience and the critical Frankfurt tradition, addressing the understanding and practice of Islamic education and upbringing in families, schools, mosques and social work.
