Jherings Methode und Jherings Dogmatik

The research focus of the work lies in the examination of the abstract methodology in the concrete legal dogmatics in the various phases of Jhering. Against the background of the intensifying discussion about continuity or discontinuity in Jhering's methodological thinking, the thesis is therefore dedicated to bringing Jhering's methodological thinking a little closer by examining the various dogmatic examples. It is shown that the strong methodological continuity runs through his entire legal dogmatics. The author works in the field of Jhering research, the modern history of private law and comparative legal history.
