Joseph Schumpeter und der Staat

Joseph Schumpeter was not a political theorist or constitutional lawyer. However, the essays in this volume show that reflecting on his brilliant insights and provocative exaggerations is stimulating in various ways. Schumpeter is concerned the coevolution of modern statehood and a capitalist market economy and their crisis-prone interfaces. He does not develop a comprehensive state theory from this. His pertinent work thus became an indispensable reference point for state theory and the political economy and sociology of the public sector.
