Kant als Metaphysiker

The present work by Max Wundt entitled "Kant als Metaphysiker" demonstrates Kant's position within the development of German metaphysical philosophy. Wundt's book is directed against a positivist neo-Kantianism, claiming Kant as a destroyer of metaphysics and a founder of positivist empiricism, and shows in a new perspective the central position of metaphysics in Kant's thought. Wundt views Kant's vital importance in his rediscovery of metaphysics. The investigation of Kant's statements is historically oriented and aims at an understanding of the historical place of Kant's ideas between the Enlightenment and Romanticism.
