The author first identifies cases of application and motives and then the legal basis of such ‘chain transformations’. On the basis of the knowledge gained, he analyses the permissibility of various chain transformation constellations, which he systematically divides into three case groups: The preciding merger/division, the preciding new formation and the preciding conversion. The work offers practitioners a guide for the preparation and implementation of the numerous potentially conceivable chain transformation constellations.
