Description
This thesis examines the use of artificial intelligence in loan decisions. While the legal debate has primarily focused on so-called 'external scoring' conducted by credit bureaus, this thesis examines 'internal scoring,' in which financial institutions assess their customers’ creditworthiness using their own rating systems. This thesis brings together the requirements of data protection law, banking supervisory law, the AI Regulation, and civil law—which have often been considered separately until now.
The work is intended for both academia and legal practitioners.
Stefan Dalmer works as an attorney and notary. In his dissertation, he conducted research on digitalization and AI regulation.
