Kirchenkrise als Glaubenskrise?

This book deals with the processes of the drastically declining reproductive power of the Protestant Church in Germany, which is not only becoming smaller, but less significant. This affects its financing, charisma, the ‘vitality’ of its activities, the motivation of its employees—all in all, its plausibility in society. This study focuses on church services, music, religious and confirmation classes, family socialisation, youth work, diaconia, parishioners and volunteers, as well as other occasions, and develops theoretical perspectives on the interplay between faith and church on an empirical basis. On the one hand, a loss of vitality as a whole becomes clear—but so do opportunities in concrete terms on the other.
