Maintaining early childhood facilities is a key social responsibility. Educators must balance high expectations with immense demands, and their exhaustion is linked to inadequate structural quality. Empirical findings indicate that low staff-to-child ratios, large group sizes and insufficient time for indirect educational activities are key stress factors. However, it is also evident that appreciation, transparency and commitment from daycare centre management can significantly alleviate stress. The author emphasises the importance of leadership as a vital resource and demonstrates how the childcare system can be secured and developed sustainably.
