Description
For some years now, the term classism has been widely used in public discourse to describe unjustified discrimination on the basis of socio-economic origin or position. However, the academic reception of the term remains marginal. This thesis examines the concept of classism in terms of its usefulness for legal studies. Based on the continuing social exclusivity of legal university studies and the special role that students take on in society after completing their legal training, the author also analyses the extent to which classism in law itself represents a constitutional problem.
