Description
This volume provides an interdisciplinary analysis of a nearly forgotten modern classic in the field of religious studies. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, the articles explore the significance and contemporary relevance of the 'Berlin Socrates', as Heinrich was also known. The findings will be of interest not only to scholars of religion, but also to those engaged in cultural studies and critical analysis of our current society. The volume is supplemented by a tabular biography of Heinrich and an essay he wrote on the history of the Berlin Institute for Religious Studies.

With an introduction by Kolja Huth and Moritz Maurer and contributions by Klaus Heinrich, Horst Junginger, Dolores Zoé Bertschinger, Peter Bexte, Rolf Bossart, Jan Andres Hartmann, Ansgar Martins, Hermann Pfütze, Till Seidemann and Anna Sutter.
