This thesis examines the Chinese trade union system and its role in dismissal protection. Tracing the historical development of trade union law, the study uncovers the ideological and institutional nuances of Chinese collective labour law. After analyzing its constitutional foundations and organizational structure, the work explores the structural power imbalance vis-à-vis employers, alongside the tension between individual and collective dismissal protection. Finally, it evaluates the consultation procedure and the legal consequences of procedural flaws, concluding with a comparative analysis of German labour law.
