Civil as well as administrative law show a different approach to mastering the challenges of collective and supraindividual legal protection. Hence, the Musterfeststellungsklage has expanded the civil procedural law with one collective action. Concerning administrative law, especially supraindividual collective actions are in continuous development.

This study combines collective civil actions and collective actions of the administrative law by demonstrating differences and similarities particularly in regard of the new German „Musterfeststellungsklage“. Simultaneously, it depicts the intended European Class action.
