Description
In April 2026, the 8th Dialogue on International Family Law was held in Marburg. Under the overarching title of ‘‚Collisions and Concordances‘’, representatives from academia and practice dealt with current issues of international family law and family procedure law. The focus was on procedural issues related to the concurrence of jurisdictions and lack of jurisdiction, as well as the European influence on international family law. This volume brings together the papers presented at the conference. Among the topics covered are the consequences of pending litigation in foreign jurisdictions, the habitual residence of children and adults, the change of gender assignment in cross-border cases, the relationship between European regulations and international treaties, and cross-border pension rights equalization.
