Konfliktsensitive Berichterstattung

In her study, Ann Sophie Stapenhorst provides readers with a solid foundation for critically assessing public service war reporting on Instagram. Using contributions from the 'Tagesschau' as a case study, she examines how the Israel–Palestine conflict is reported, and whether this reporting meets the criteria for conflict-sensitive journalism. The study is based on a standardised content analysis of posts from 7 October 2023 to 7 October 2024. The results reveal blind spots, structural distortions, and tensions between journalistic standards, media regulations, and platform logic. This book is intended for academics, journalists, and an informed public critical of the media.
