Kopräsenz als Paradigma

Has the paradigm of integration in Europe had its day? In the face of the resurgence of nationalism, the threat of Europe’s disintegration, heated debates on how to deal with migration, and growing social tensions, how can we rethink Europe? And what does a look at the imaginations of past societies reveal? This volume explores 'co-presence' as an alternative concept that avoids focusing on convergence towards a single entity. Nine contributions examine this approach from various academic perspectives, including geography, history, art and media studies, linguistics, literary studies, law, social ethics, sociology and the history of science.
