How can we culturally outgrow current social and ecological challenges? The theoretical perspective of the history of experience provides an insightful approach to the emergence of the mindset of the present and its possible future.
Using the works of the mathematician and cosmologist Brian Swimme as examples, this study shows to what extent conscious participation in the being and becoming of the cosmos can be understood as the next chapter in the history of experience.
Thus, a connection between cosmic consciousness and political order can be established, which has the potential to make a valuable contribution to the emergence and development of a peaceful and humane future for humankind.
