Kritik der juristischen Vernunft

This book explains to lawyers what they do and to non-lawyers why it makes sense if it is done well. Joachim Lege develops a ‘New Legal Methodology’ (NJML) and shows that the legal method consists of logic and aesthetics, supplemented by ethical aspects. In a clear and entertaining manner, he scrutinises central aspects of legal work: from rule formation to case analysis and finding results. What always matters is the harmony of these three elements. This is followed by a trenchant critique of legal reason (KjV): What does the method achieve, where does it reach its limits? The answer: It creates a framework for objectivity in law. And not everyone likes objectivity.
