Kulturförderung in Frankreich am Beispiel der Film- und Kinoförderung

The author examines French cultural industry promotion in the film sector, which could serve as a model for cultural funding in the German film sector, which is often regarded as unsuccessful. The focus is on French funding institutions and funding measures for cultural activities as well as the role of the service public culturel. The legal framework under European law, which has been influenced decisively by the French system of cultural funding, is marked by EU state aid law and, in particular, by the European Commission's Cinema Communication. The research areas of the work are French administrative law, cultural law as well as public procurement and state aid law. The author works as a lawyer in public law.
