Langfristige Energielieferverträge in Deutschland und den USA

Long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) are an established model for project financing in the US energy sector. Due to the increasing market integration of renewables, they are also gaining popularity in Germany. The author comprehensively analyzes which legal framework conditions promote or hinder the spread of PPAs on wholesale and retail level in both countries. At the same time, a detailed account of US energy law is provided. Special attention is given to the vital issue of pricing and price adjustment. Due to the energy crisis, this dissertation is highly topical and, inter alia, can serve as a guide for legal practitioners.
