The volume collects a series of nine studies, with a substantial introduction, by international scholars that concern the influence and reception of the philosophy of Parmenides in the whole ancient context. The contributions deal with Parmenides’ thought from the ancient archaic tradition until late Neoplatonism. Each author is an expert in the field of ancient philosophy and is specialized in a well-determined period of ancient thought. The volume’s goal is to provide a systematic study on the reception of Parmenides’ thought in different contexts of ancient philosophy.
