Description
This volume develops a scientifically sound, culturally anthropological and educationally oriented understanding of teaching and learning athletic movements. This requires both an interdisciplinary breakdown of movement learning and a combination of different theoretical perspectives for didactic purposes. Learning to move is the central point of reference for teaching and the starting point for didactic constructions. In this respect, the title of the volume is reversed, so to speak, and should actually read "Learning and Teaching Movements," since learning is not seen as a "dependent variable" of teaching, but rather as a human destiny independent of any teaching.
