Description
This anthology brings together contributions from the 15th Northwest German Linguistic Colloquium (NWLK), which took place in December 2023 at Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg. They represent the thematic diversity of current linguistic research in Northwest Germany and provide insight into the lively exchange that has become the hallmark of this colloquium.
From theoretical approaches to empirical studies and application-oriented questions, a broad spectrum of research traditions is represented. Topics discussed include loanwords and gender assignment, Low German dialects of the North German region, adposition, morphosyntactic features of place names, and construction grammatical considerations on the emergence of a new syntactic pattern.
