Description
Surprisingly enough, many pop and rock musicians have been inspired by literature. Since the 1960s up to the present, they have created songs that adapt, hint at, quote or parody literature, or they have simply invented instrumental tunes that refer to literature but dispense with text altogether. How does this artistic interconnection affect the study of literature and musicological analysis? This book provides examples as well as theoretical and historical reflections on this topic.
