Description
The book is a result of the degree course on mediation. On the one hand, the contributions deal with the basics and legal framework of mediation, such as the law on mediation, the possibilities to refer from civil proceedings to mediation, the role of law and the demands on the mediator. On the other hand, special practical fields of application of mediation are selected, from environmental law to sport and hunting law. The book is intended to be a model and inspiration for the mediation training as well as to make clear to practitioners what legal basics and fields of application mediation has or can have.
The editors are heads of the mediation training at the University of Halle. Prof. Dr. Caroline Meller-Hannich is chairholder at the Martin-Luther-University of Halle-Wittenberg. Dr. Sascha Weigel is a licensed mediator and trainer for the Federal Association of Mediation.
