This book on the one hand offers in a consciously planned way a broad and exciting intercultural as well as interdisciplinary approach to the question whether human rights and social idproduct are compatible. This approach does not try to standardise the different attitudes between eastern and western thinkers nor between political-legal and ethical-moral views; on the other hand the book develops an informative summary of the image of human right and dignity of man in the history of East-Asian and western philosophy as well as of the present-day ideas of human rights in the eastern and western legal conception.
