Human dignity is one of the topic areas that Ferdinand von Schirach has dealt with in literature like no other contemporary writer.
This study is situated at the nexus between literary, legal and media studies. By analysing numerous passages from von Schirach's literary texts as well as from court decisions, interviews, etc., the book provides an insight into the discursive dynamics between factual, aesthetic and media aspects with regard to the literary reconstruction of a discourse on human dignity.
Katharina Ströhl conducts essential fundamental research into von Schirach's work, which has otherwise not been addressed in literary studies.
