Description
Moral distress has received little attention in home-care nursing research so far, although morally challenging situations shape the daily work of many nurses. This first comprehensive study of the German home-care sector examines which work and organizational conditions contribute to moral distress, how nurses experience moral conflicts, and how these affect their health. The book is based on quantitative and qualitative studies involving home-care nurses and nursing ethicists and provides practical approaches for improving working conditions in home care. Julia Petersen works on ethical issues in nursing and conducts research on working conditions in nursing care.
