Thanks to the commitment and professional support of regional associations for the disabled, social institutions and university working groups, it was possible to open the accessible and inclusive permanent exhibition – the only one of ist kind in Germany – MUSEUM OF THE SENSES: Experience Experience of Cultural and World History without Barriers! at the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum (RPM) in Hildesheim. This project was subject to a comprehensive and balanced evaluation. The results of this study should offer help and support to museums and cultural institutions in realising their own accessible and inclusive exhibition projects.
