Netzgerechte Datenschutzgestaltung

This doctoral thesis investigates the current challenges posed by data protection from a sociological perspective. It argues that the category of trust is central to reinventing data protection. It proposes a holistic framework for a trust infrastructure that integrates different legal, political, institutional, participatory, professionally ethical and technological elements of data protection. This book will appeal to people who are dealing with the regulatory challenges of data protection and who are interested in furthering interdisciplinary discussions regarding privacy, data protection and trust. The author is a research associate at the department of sociological theory at the University of Kassel.
