Ökologie der Teilhabe

In the ecological crisis and the transformation of the economy and society, people are being called upon to embrace the necessary changes in their lives and actions. They participate in those changes either actively or passively. If the environment does not appear to be at odds with people, but as their ecological, social and economic situation, participation in sustainable development is required. This book develops a concept of ecological participation in which individual and collective existence extends into the sphere of the life contexts of nature and society. In these contexts, sustainable and prosperous conditions must be ensured. Key eco-centred approaches are discussed, which ask how such conditions can be maintained and how those involved can contribute to them in a responsible and competent manner. Individual, collective and institutional actors play a key role in the ecosystem of their relationship to one another in the changing organisation of existence.
