Partizipative Konfliktforschung und Kommunale Konfliktbearbeitung

The concept of conflict management acknowledges the wide range of socio-political differences and provides guidance on how to deal with conflicts in a constructive manner. One approach to this is municipal conflict counselling, which provides local authority decision-makers with advisory services. Research into conflict management and counselling requires sensitive tools, and the methodology of participatory conflict research was developed for this purpose. This methodology is explained, exemplified through two research projects and analysed in detail in this volume. The research findings are presented, alongside transparent insights into the procedures and potential insights offered by participatory conflict research.
