Poetik der Reflexion

Heidegger’s thought during the work biographical period following “Being and Time” was inspired by an examination of positions from around the year 1800 that remains unrivalled in both import and lop-sidedness. In this book, that movement of thought will be reconstructed as a path towards a poetics of reflection, in which the form and materiality of language, rather than representing the world, evoke it. Comparisons with Friedrich Schlegel’s style of thinking and writing illuminate Heidegger’s interactions with Hölderlin’s texts and delimit the search for a rhetoric of philosophical writing.
