Poland and the European Union - Between Association and Membership

The volume is the result of the conference of the Research Centre on European Integration held at the University of Gdansk within the framework of a project of the European Community Studies Association (ECSA). The contributions aim at analysing the implementation of the European Agreement in Poland and at examining the process of European integration as related to a Polish EU-Membership. Furthermore, they deal with the perspectives of other Central and Eastern European countries. The themes comprise primarily economic, institutional and legal issues as well as aspects of integration policy, among them in particular questions of economic adjustment, financial and monetary integration, the adaptation of agriculture, the relationship between transformation and integration as well as the institutional requirements of enlargement. The authors mainly come from Central- and Eastern European countries.
