Politischer Widerstand

Political resistance is a phenomenon that spans the course of history. In fact, insurrection against presumed or actual injustice has gone hand in hand with hegemony since its inception. However, how legitimate is such insurrection? Can it be justified? The first part of this book, in which philosophers, political scientists and jurists highlight the problem from the perspective of their own discipline, focuses on investigating these questions. The second and third parts are more practically oriented, with experts from various fields offering their perspectives on why people risked their lives to revolt against the ruling powers in the times of communism and National Socialism, and what methods and means they employed to do so. The new findings presented in this volume prove that research into political resistance still has many unanswered yet highly promising questions to examine.
