In the light of a 2016 decision by the European Court of Justice on price-fixed prescription drugs, the author takes a current look at the German pharmacy market, especially on the subject matter of drug pricing. In the course of extensive legal and economic investigations, unexpected problems and undesirable developments were uncovered that affect, among other things, domestic pharmacy distribution - despite having considered the market’s special features.
