Realization of Human Rights in the Health Care System

This volume provides readers with an interdisciplinary analysis of the realization of human rights in health and medical care systems. It demonstrates that their effective implementation is as important as their formal recognition in legal standards and declarations. The contributions examine barriers, structural gaps, and shortcomings that may limit the full realization of human rights in practice. Particular attention is given to equal access to health and medical care for minorities and vulnerable groups with specific health needs.
