Recht für die Soziale Arbeit

This introductory work is intended to serve as a compendium for students of social work and at the same time accompany their first steps into the profession. It opens up important basic concepts, clarifies structures and makes connections understandable in a practical way. This includes concise features of the social security system and the determining actors and institutions of social work in Germany. Equally important is the discussion of the constitutional foundations of the welfare state and the organizations of socio-economic service provision, their legal forms of appearance and action, and their financing. Building on a basic section, the legal framework of the central fields of action as well as essential legal issues of the procedural practice of social work are presented. In the new edition, the area of child and youth welfare and the livelihood-securing benefits has been significantly expanded.

The fourth, updated new edition takes up in particular the new regulations that have arisen for german social law in 2024.
