As early as the second half of the last century, the vision of systems that could support medical decisions or even replace them emerged. Today, enormous progress is visible in information technology, such evolution being discussed, in particular, using the buzzword "artificial intelligence". Nevertheless, there is little in-depth legal literature on the use of automated systems in medicine. This work therefore addresses the processing of data, information and knowledge to support or replace medical decisions. The focus of the analysis lies on the legal regulations related to the medical profession and treatment relationship and to data, information and confidentiality.
