Rechtsdurchsetzung durch Gleichbehandlungsstellen

Two EU directives on standards for equality bodies require Germany to assign further tasks and powers to the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency. This legal study clarifies fundamental questions arising in this context and assesses them from a legal and legal-policy perspective, drawing on comparative law and the experiences of other equality bodies in Europe. The focus of the study is on the legal framework for a possible strengthening of the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency through the transfer of new powers and competences in the context of judicial and extrajudicial enforcement.
